Charlie's Angels - Dylan

So I Started to make the first of three dolls I promised my girls.  Dylan (played by Drew Barrymore in the movies) is a red head rocker girl.  For this first doll I am using the fabric that we get from the flour sacks we buy to make our delicious biscuits and such.  I will post more picks as I get more done on these cuties.

New Art Endevours

Be yoU
Mixed Media Collage

Since we moved out to the country last October, we have been settling down on the land, building our house, learning many things of farm life.  All things which were new to us, coming from as big a city as Miami.  All my creative juices have been consumed by creating a comfortable living environment for our family.  We have come a long way since that first day we drove up to this land. Though we are still without consistent electricity, which makes keeping up with blogs and websites a little more difficult.  I am making a commitment to do so.  We are now in the winter time, and though we are still building parts of our house, namely the bedrooms and also suitable spaces for us to spread out, and create.  The weather usually makes us stay inside and so lately I have had a little more time to get inspired to draw and paint and make new art.  I have been following some great artists on the internet and that, has inspired me to re/start an Art Journal which I began back in Miami.  I had worked on it some when I was in Santiago last year before we moved out here to Cancha Alegre.  So, I had been sporadically working on it.  My aim now, is to do a page at least every couple of days,  I will share this art journal here in this blog.  I have also started to make some ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) hopefully I will be able to actually trade them internationally since here in Chile I have searched and no other artists who do this.  Either way it is fun to make and share on this blog. Oh! and I almost forgot that I have started making rag dolls.  these I will put on here too :)
